Knight Frank, the leading independent global property agency and consultancy, announces new senior management in its Russian branch.
Sergey Gipsh, partner and regional director of retail real estate in Knight Frank Russia & CIS, was appointed managing partner of the Moscow office effective Sept. 1, 2014. Sergey will, in conjunction with his new assignment, continue to direct management of retail real estate and personally supervise the company's key projects in this market segment.
Kyrill Starodoubtsev, founder and largest private shareholder of Knight Frank Moscow, has hitherto combined the duties of Managing Partner and Chairman of the Board of Directors, and will further on focus on the strategic management of the company, while continuing to lead the Board of Directors.
Kyrill Starodoubtsev notes: "The decision to combine the operational and strategic leadership positions of the company was strongly influenced by crisis management. Currently, Knight Frank Moscow no longer needs this type of management and intends to further develop and improve its effectiveness under this new form of management. Sergey has successful experience in managing a company of similar structure. By combining our expertise of directing a consulting business and by dividing our authority, we can bring Knight Frank to new heights, developing the company’s newer and already existing functions.”
Sergey Gipsh comments: "In recent years, we have witnessed significant changes in the real estate market, which is currently full of new opportunities. Backed behind Knight Frank’s more than 100 years of tradition and practice, we have assembled a team of Russia’s best market experts. As leading experts in their fields, they are ready to defend Knight Frank’s strong heritage and determined to increase its market share in both residential and commercial property markets."
Sergey Gipsh stood at the origins of the industry of trading centers in Russia and was among the first people to assemble and head a team of specialists working with developers of professional trading centers in this country. Sergey joined Knight Frank in 2011 as a partner heading the Retail Property Division of the company’s business in Russia and the CIS. Prior to that, Sergey was the managing director of Colliers International. After more than 18 years of working in this market, Sergey has successfully implemented dozens of projects.
