A new shopping and leisure center will appear in the historical center of the Republic of Buryatia’s capital. Phase I of the complex (GBA – 22,000 sq m, GLA – 10,800 sq m) is scheduled to be delivered in Q2 2014. The whole complex (GBA – 58,500 sq m, GLA – 31,800 sq m) will be fully delivered in Q4 2015. Knight Frank, who was appointed the exclusive leasing agent of the complex, had also developed its concept.
The shopping center is located at 27 Lenin St, close to the most popular pedestrian boulevard of Ulan-Ude, between Teatralnaya and Sovetov Squares, where the main administrative buildings of the Republic of Buryatia are also situated. The project is going to be a major attraction for both the residents and guests of the city due to a high quality tenant-mix and an interesting professional concept. About 90 boutiques are to be opened here in summer 2014, about a hundred more in 2015. The mall will also have a cinema, a children’s entertainment area and an underground parking zone.
Sergey Gipsh, Partner, Retail Director, Knight Frank Russia & CIS, noted: “The new professional shopping and leisure center will make a significant contribution to the development of quality retail in this region. This project combines several features which are crucial for the mall’s success – the central location, a thought-out concept and an interesting tenant-mix.”
